Q&A FEMA Panel Discussion

The panelists, based in Kansas City, MO are from the FEMA Region 7, which covers nine Tribal Nations, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

This event will provide an opportunity for students to learn about the mitigation efforts of FEMA. Mitigation is the effort to proactively reduce the loss of life and property by preparing for and lessening the impact of disasters. Stated plainly, mitigation can keep natural hazards from having catastrophic impacts when they do occur.
